I had the same problem… i have tried ever possible way of addressing the problem. In a nutshell they refuse to accept the site is down when their stats show “NO” downtime 😮
My own stats show the down time, but that doesn’t seem to matter.
I have told them they obviously have a problem. They say they will look into it.

So what do i do? Do i move server for about the 5th time now.. Only for the same to happen again and again. I have spoke to some people in the know about this sort of stuff. They say its not that i get it any different from anyone else. Service i mean.. Its just that the site is constantly busy taking hits 24/7 that it is always going to be the case someone somewhere at sometime is going to access the site and be refused.
All servers get down time, we simply don’t notice because we don’t try and access our sites as much. “obviously there are much better servers than others out there.. im simply be recommended to some then taking the one I think myself is best”
The last few months I have been slowly moving all old files to this server. Once I have done it with every file I will take the next & final step at improving the sites server situation. The only way I think I can do this is to get a dedicated server hosting my site and only my site. This will cost a fair bit.. So what I will do is get things running with all the new bits I want added. Have the site shop running 100% with all its new products, and then look & see if the site can then afford the running costs of a dedicated server. If so it wont be as messy as before as we simply move everything from one server to the other. Instead of 3 or 4 like in the past.
Will this solve this only going problem and expense? I haven’t a clue! But I hope so…. 😕 🙄

your right steve, john.. something is up.. im doing my best at the mo.. just keep me informed of times etc and i can get these clowns to sort it out.

steve, yeh the dedicated server thing is my best but most exspensive option. like i mentioned above i think this will be the answer. at the moment that its going to cost about £700-£800 a year. which as you can see isnt cheap!
anyone know any better deals? i would like it to be a uk dedicated server with 24/7 customer support.
