Posted by David Mitchell on April 30, 2017 at 8:03 pmHi guys, finally in the new workshop and got a load more space, so looking at a bigger printer now, are their any companies who take trade ins , part exchange?
Looking for something bigger than BN-20Thanks in advance

Slow isn’t it? The BN seems to be everyone’s start up machine. You start to see results, then you realise how slow it is. Can’t see you having much trouble moving it on. Would do no harm to speak to sign & digital. They sell used machines

I would second PrintMAX. They are official distributors of the entire Roland range of machines, they are UK Sign Group preferred supplier of ours and I am sure if anyone, they will be able to offer you a great deal.
worth a call i think…

I would have always said Signmaster but since they have been competing against the very people they sell too I would say give PrintMax a call…nice bunch down there.

You might get a response trying to sell it here in the for sale section ? What would you be looking for it ?
-
Just to add another name – I’d try AD Young (speak to Sam), I think there might be a trade in if our looking at going to a HP Latex machine.

it was always a space issue, it does a great job of what i need it to, but wanna take things a wee bit further.
will try xpress where i bought it from and printmax since theyve been recomended here, cheers guys,

We went with the VS540. We bought reconditioned and there was about £1,000 difference I think, BUT I called Roland and they said parts for the SP were not going to be around for ever if something bad happened.
We also went with ECO sol Max 3 inks which are cheaper on 500 carts I believe. Touch dry very quick even on paper. Profiling has been a issue though. Lots of faffing around and tests.

Sorry lost my train of thought, also a faster print speed I believe. Some of the SP machines I have seen on YouTube seem to be quite noisy also.

Printmaxx, we used them for our first machine and we got a cracking deal. Level of training and support provided with the machine was class.
Check the website as they have second user machines that pop up and I sure you can make a little offer on one 8).
