    Hi.

For years now I’ve been using an old version of Casmate pro ( over 12 years old ) and its for MAC, I have an old g3. Although my setup is old it still works fine, however i would like to upgrade or have a contingency plan setup for when something goes wrong. Also i have real problems switching formats and transferring to and fro from pc to mac.

SO…Is there any simple plotter freeware out there i can use or do i have to fork out big bucks for new software. I don’t do any printing so just something i can import eps with fonts and send to plotter will be fine.

I want to transfer to PC also and get rid of the old Mac…Hmmmm just thought my plotter (roland camm1 pro 1860) is serial only, can this be converted to usb ?

    Thanks for reading.

roland do a printer driver for you which will cut directly from corel.

most new pc s that i have seen lately have a serial com1 but no printer lpt1 port.

you can use a usb to serial converter but the serial lead to the cutter has to be the correct type. (the one with pins 2 &3 crossed over) ?? the pin outs are in your user manual. they did that back then.
