    Hi All,

Just wondering what most people use as an invisible fixing for composite aluminium sign panels going onto rough walls? Possibly, stone/red brick etc. Various sizes ranging from approx 300mm x 250mm up to 900mm x 1200mm.

I am thinking of big head fixings with min 60mm M6. bonded to the back of the panels (which adhesive is best to use? I gather some can distort the panels) Then drill holes in wall & fix with structural adhesive.
    (Again, any preference on these?)

I would use a single template to fit big heads onto multiple same size panels, then I can use the same template to mark drill holes for walls.

    Anyone have any better solutions?

    Myles

Not done this sort of thing for a long time Myles but Big Head Fastenings is what I would have used. Adhesive wise I use to use Eurobond Adhesives for most things, always found them to be very helpful if I had to phone to ask for advice & their products are very good. Sorry don’t have a contact number but a google search should throw it up.
If you have multiple panels the same size then yes I would have been looking to make a template for each size same as you are.

    Best of luck with it.

    Thanks for the input Martin.
Presume you never had any issues re panels distorting due to adhesive?

No I didn’t Myles, can’t honestly remember which adhesive it was though, tempted to say Penloc which I still use from time to time for other things but I could be wrong. Give them a call they are very helpful people (or where) 😀 😀 😀
