I dont know about anyone else, but we are mad busy between now and the end of November with lettering lorries and JCB’s ( Obviusly end of tax year for some) then its quiet till around January.

Or have you ever thought of doing mail order etc to boost your sales

    We do international mail order.

Royal mail has just begun to send it recorded delivery, although I believe some countrys are still not covered.

Always send it recordered if you can, and take out insurance to cover it. Make the customer pay for this service.

Don`t take it for certain that they will get it. From experiance, its always the costly items that go missing.

And don`t guess how much it will cost. Work it out. In the past I`ve been out by £15.

Just had an enquiry from Oz, air mail was £85 for 12Kgs.

I do a fair bit of international mail order via my website at http://www.warriorboxing.com..plug, plug….and agree, always send recorded. Royal mail, do International Recorded (signed for) which is reasonably priced, only £3.50 or something like that.

Things to watch for if your going down the credit card route. Don’t even bother responding to orders from the Eastern Bloc, loads of dodgy fraudulant cards in operation out there. Make sure your postage costs are covered. I’ve been stung a couple of times thinking that extra item won’t make that much difference only to lose money going to the next price band.

    hi

iv sent a some small vinyl graphics over seas and used standard air mail as the items were less than £28 they were insured to 🙂 worked out cheaper that sending register mail to the UK 🙄 .
see text below taken from royal mail web site.

    "Airmail is cost-effective
A 20g Airmail letter will reach anywhere in Europe for just 38p. A similar letter will get delivered anywhere in the world for just 68p.

When sending Airmail from a Post Office branch, ask for a free certificate of posting. Compensation of up to £28 may be paid for loss or damage and you will be asked for a copy of the certificate when making a claim"
