Interior mural, which vinyl/paper to use??

Personally i place a 10mm overlap on wall jobs. either 10mm to the right OR 10mm on each panel (Left and right) depending on how busy the image is etc.

I have found both materials to be rather easy to work with, granted vinyl is more simple to fit etc 🙂

I’m also doing one soon and have found these people very helpful.
I must admit I like the idea of the re-positional paper as it doesn’t require any adhesive added.

If you use vinyl will it disturb the plaster when it comes round to removing it?

Does ordinary vinyl stick to the wall ok? Does the surface below need to have a shiny painted surface? ie gloss or sheen rather than just matt paint?

Hi

whatever you use its importent to seal the walls we always use a zinsser sealent as this will allow you to move the vinyl or wall paper without pulling of the paint (not a lot mind just a bit)

If its your first job i would use printed wallpaper as large sheets of vinyl can be trickey if your not used to it.

its also inportent to get the overlaps right so when you cut and shut you are still lined up on the image.

I use WW300 from APS for direct to wall vinyl graphics. Sticks like proverbial to the blanket. Fit using the hinge method centre to top then bottom. This way you have less chance of the print running off. It does however remove the painted surface beneath when coming to replace it.
