Try inputting any other sign forums you can think of – and you’ll find the uk signboards are miles ahead of any others 😀

I found something similar to this a while back, might even have been same one but looked different. very little of what it gives as info is even nearly correct…
my guess is these sites claiming to offer info and value is just a way for them to generate traffic.
just have to look at the boards for instance, it says our largest volume of traffic comes from ireland, at 66%??? :lol1: :lol1:
Whilst it says Google gives a Page rank of PR5 (which is high) it gives zero in LP ranking whilst all others search engines gives us thousands. 😕

bugger it, ill stick my domain name on ebay and see what i can get… :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

hold onto your domain john. 😉

    http://www.dnscoop.com was created on: November 24 2006

Domain age (approximately): 4 Months, 10 days..

    Google PR 1

    Google: 343
    MSN Search: 1,316
    Yahoo!: 13
    AlltheWeb: 13
    AltaVista: 13

The estimated value of http://www.dnscoop.com is: $26,000

    :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

dave, i think a PR1 domain just over 4 months old with virtually no LP ranking valued at $26,000 should give you an indication the results are Bol***** :lol1: :lol1: :lol1:

I wonder if the number of times uksb is checked through this site will affect the "value"?

by the looks of it Andrew, this is basically a site that has been formed to act like a hub for various online sources to check various areas of a sites statistics.
once it accumulates the various stats from each source it gives a "guess" value based on "their own" pricing structure.
however, their results are all over the place and just dont add up.
on UKSB’s results alone it looks like i should change the sites name to http://www.irishsignboards.com as it says 66% of our traffic comes from ireland. :lol1:
even some of the "best" online sources for site rankings and the like are very inconsistant at the best of times. search engines for instance all index your site at different times, some do it more than others. google is suppossed to index/rank 4 times a year but have been known to have only done it twice in 12 months. UKSB has many pages that are ranked PR3 PR4 and PR5 by google which is a very good acheivement… along with this google ranks you on other things…
once google is done the smaller engines revalue you on based on googles rank, but could possibley be 2 months later.
so lets say this site says your domain is worth £1 based on its sources. tommorrow google may index/rank you and sing your praises. in turn so do the smaller engines. so today your worth £1, tomorrow £1000.
the trouble is, its not based only on one engine, its based on many so stats and value go up and down like a rollercoaster. in other words, it is impossible for a online website to properly value you your domain based on outside online sources.
so why have online sources for this info at all? they are there simply as a guide/guestimate to tell you how well "they" rank you against your opposition.
as for giving you the value of a domain… nonsense… thats like typing in your business name, loacation, years in business and amount of phone calls "they think" you have had. then telling you your business is worth ex-amount of pounds. 😀
