would you call a heat gun a paint stripper.

trying to get them to understand that a heat gun comes in a box with one of the uses is a paint stripper.

    cover use of heat gun
excludes use of a paint stripper.

no more than 2lt of inflammable liquids in a container.

thinners comes in a 5 lt tin ??
    petrol 5lt can

just had enough and this is a dedicated sign shop insurance, will see when the new paper work comes if they have understood what i have said.

Vote with your feet Chris and take your business elsewhere. It’s about the only thing these @rseholes will understand. 🙄

In that case – I apologise for recommending them – take your business elsewhere if they are giving you the run around.

Insurance can be a pain Chris.

The best way is to negotiate your way around it, but if heat guns are the only sticking point then I would suggest just making sure that your heat guns come in a box that says "heat gun" on the side, with no reference to paint stripping, then you could point to that in the event of a claim. It would also be best to avoid any that come with any paint stripping specific nozzles bundled.

We’ve got a Motor Trade policy with AXA and don’t get any petty restrictions like that. Certainly with a garage type policy they aren’t frightened of a few gallons of petrol and some heat tools.

I’m with the NFU Chris, did not get any problems with them, when I had my flood through the roof right on top of all my vinyl they paid it within 4 days mate.

I was with A plan before and when I was going to move they were asking all sorts of silly questions, I went to the NFU told them I will be moving soon they just said fine just give us your new address:D

    Nick.
