Hi everyone, curious what vans you are running around in and how they have treated you.

Im looking to replace my old combo 1.6 petrol. I only do around 5k miles a year and would rather have a smaller van as i use a large trailer for the big stuff.

    Catching my eyes are-

    newer shape combo diesels

    vw caddy 1.6tdi

would probably prefer another petrol to save the headache on injectors, turbos, Dpfs and Dmf

but there not so many around.

for me, a van that holds a 10x5ft sheet lying flat on the floor between the wheel arches is a must!
I swear by Merc sprinters, had them 25+ years. switched to a ford transit and find the rear space is tighter than the Mercedes, but in general, a really sturdy built reliable van.
I am all about convenience and having things for specific purposes. so my view on vehicles might be totally different to yours mate. πŸ‘

Can’t go wrong with German mate. Everything they do just works. Unless you count invading Poland

Just my two pence worth, I took a punt on a VW T5 a few years ago and there is nothing I cant get in it unless you are doing more than 8×4 sheets. I can get a good 3 metres of printed material in if I pass it through the gap between the two front seats. Bonus is it looks cool and I can use it for going away. Oh and it holds value well.

I have only 1 car in the family and the business.

    VW T6 Multivan.

7 seater. 3 seats (bench) + 2 separate seats in the back.

All removable, and then you get a cargo van.

After owning a VW T6, it is difficult to move to another car (boot space related)

Its great isn’t it and I plan to upgrade at some point to a T6, might be T7 by the time I can afford one πŸ™‚

Mines a T5. Best van Ive ever had. As Pane says, the seats simply unclip and you have a spacious van. Put them back and you have a luxury car with a big boot that drives like a dream. It even comes in 4wd.

Just dont get the 180 horsepower version of the T5. It has “issues”
