Impact vehicle outline issue – mini
Hi All I have version 40 2012 cd but my illustrator (CS3) will not open either mini cooper or mini S – files in question MINI0005/6, however it will open in flexi, corel, siglab so not normally a problem but I would like to send an illustrator file to someone else with input in the design. Resaving as an eps in the other programmes does not help the file still wont open in CS3 Any thoughts to the cause or solution or maybe someone has diffent version that open in CS3
Hopefully too Brian sees this and has a remedy

Have you tried placing the file into a new document? This sometimes works.

Yes Jamie I have unfortunately no luck, tried open/importing/drag and drop anywhich ways error.
I have split the file up it opens the aerial view the front view and the rear view but neither side view so somthing there is corrupt according to illustrartor I guess

Are you trying to import the EPS files, if you are use the Ai files.
Or publish to PDF in Corel or Signlab. Your designer type feller will be able to open that almost certainly?

Yes thanks Brian, I was trying to import the eps because these are to scale ai is 1/20th I think but good idea on the pdf too

Most outlines will be too big for the workspace in Illustrator.
