You could snowboard here, we are due for 6-9" by tomorrow.
Was talking to my friend in New Hampshire yesterday.
She said they have a 4′ base at her ski resort.
She told me that if you get off the trail you sink up to the crotch!

Dont need a 193, I did the flying kilometre in Les arc on powder, that was plenty fast enough on a Custom155, got a Custom X 160 now with Triad bindings so light and fast.
    Lovely.
And "only" half a metre will do fine thank you, had about 6 feet one night last time I was in Chamonix, in 1997.
That was the year I got stabbed a week before I went, that was sore, still had the stitches in my back, but nice soft landings from 30 foot jumps lol

    Steve,
Climbed and skied in Chamonix, I’ve always thought it is one of the best resorts in europe. I always wanted to ski the Mer de Glace, the climb down onto the glacier from the cable car is exciting and the views all around are breathtaking.
    Have a good time

IM back now just got in an hour ago.
Been a brilliant week some of the resort was shut for 3 days as there was too much snow and with Chamonix being so steep it was avalanche ville, in fact I rode past one yesterday, while the pisteurs were digging a few people out, had 48 hours of solid snow with no let up, so suffice to say Thursday was excellent, Friday was a bit slushy but altogether an epic week one of the best in my 13 years boarding, now I want to go back there.

Mayrhofen is good too, just don’t like the old Penkenbahn gondola trip each morning, makes taking camcorders and special gear out of the question.
I like to be able to ride back to my door, I know Chamonix is buses everywhere too though so not ideal for it either,
    Cant wait for Next year.

Monday I have to do 108 placemats that I know of, countless signs that have fallen down in the wind, and who knows how many T shirts, I even got a text to say GMTV was filming in looe right by my big sign I did for the mackerel tripping boats and local businesses.
Good advert it was I just saw it, Lisa taped it for me.
