  • Ideas for Fixing hanging Chalkboard/Signs above a counter.

A local cafe I have done work for, (menu boards and price lists with chalkboard vinyl on composite boards: [example below]) now want something similar to go above their serving counter, Hung from the roof.
The boards will have to be fixed so they don’t swing as the cafe is quite draughty when the door is open.
Any ideas for making something light and fixed so it wont swing?

My local Chippy has A2 snap frames fixed to the ceiling over the counter, and I can just make out some ally brackets.
If I was doing this I would fix some 40mm ally angle along the top of the snapframe and fix the ally to the ceiling.

An angle iron frame may do it. Thanks Peter that jogged my mind. The rod system is probably too expensive.
I had suggested to her that a local joiner build a light frame suspended from I baton fixed to a joist, but the angle iron may do the trick if that fails.
    cheers Stuart
