.. and put someone on to help.

I’ve just got too much work to handle on my own now.

Time will tell what sort of boss I am I guess.

One of my opposition is about to close his doors, so I’ve offered him a few days a week.

At last count, I had over 60 jobs that must be finished in 3 weeks…..

Its either feast or famine unfortunately.

    Sort of Mate.

I’ve been contracted by him as a fitter for his vehicle signage for the last 18 months.

He and his business partner have decided to go their separate ways. He asked me for a job a little while ago as he has a new baby daughter and wants some job security.

Told him job security is not guaranteed, but we enjoy working together, (he understands my humour). He has done my overflow work in the past and he is very good with clients. Our client bases are totally different, but he has been very trusting of me, going to his clients businesses on his behalf, I trust he’ll do the same for me.

If it works out, I will probably offer him a regular job. He knows my quoting software as I set up his as well using the same software. When I go on holidays it would be nice not to have to shut the shop while I’m away.

Its got a few pros and cons…. still not sure the best way to approach it though.

I remember a thread about this not long ago…

CCTV and all that c**p. Use your human instincts Shane and do what you feel comfortable with.

If he’s got a young family I doubt he’d jeopardise his trust for a quick buck!

    Check out his shoes…

..shoes are a very good indicator of a mans character and integrity.
