    HI,
I need to get hold of some aluminium sign frames, either ready made or in kit form, they would be about 4000mm x 600mm. the face of the sign will be made from dibond.
Whos a good supplier of this stuff, I would have made it out of wood but the sign is black & silver so might as well use aluminium and not have to paint the wood.

    Hi Steve
I used to buy mine from SMP 01508 531183 but ended up buying mitre saw from screwfix for less than £100 and its now much easier to make our own. Plus you ain`t waiting on deliveries all the time.

    Better for us anyhow.

    Cheers

    Gary

Thanks for that, I have a few jobs on at the minute so dont really want to waste any time making the frames as Im short of help at the minute.
I just need something that will screw/clip together and I can slot the dibond into if possible.
Worst case scenario I will have to make it but if I can get a ready made frame all the better.

Well if i can get the whole thing complete and just stick the vinyl on that would be great as a timesaver, just wondering about delievry costs as they are so big.

i am not sure how they deliver them steve, maybe in one of their own trucks? or if its long, maybe in two sections that slot together. i know some lightboxes and most flexiface signs come in sections. you just fit first part and the next locks into it.

this is part 6 of 6 part demo. maybe worth a look as i know they build theirs similar to mine here.

Don’t Amari take their frames (bar lengths) from Universal?

I think that’s why Universal only sell made up frames to the trade and not the extrusion uncut for us to make up ourselves.
