Warren, depends how much time you have but if you can and do make your own sign trays from composite then it is very easy to make a box for a projecting sign yourself.

How did you fit the top and bottom to that Phill, I made a few from just folded composite so the top and bottom were just folded same as the rest of the box and then riveted.
Other thing I did was not to use the composite itself to attach to wall but used a strip of right angle ally riveted to the box. Had a flat strip of ally glued to the inside edges where it fitted to the wall just to help strengthen it a bit.

I glued 10mm and 5mm forrrex together so that the 10mm section fitted inside the box and was retained using countersunk screws
similar to the post caps I made for the free standing post and panel demo

clever but I need a black one and black foamex will fade 😕
Cherwells quoted me on one but still trying to find out how they plan on doing it 😉
I’m sure I saw something on a suppliers website once but can’t find it now.
I’m still to use my v-groove tools I got with my Steeltrak
cheers

So cover a bit of white foamex with black vinyl…………… simples.

why not complete the box, it’s a lot neater,
attached is the dimension needed for a 616mm internal box, we always work on internal measurements as we fit over frames,
the key part to remember when making a tray or a box is to allow 3mm for each fold on a 3mm acm panel, illustrated by the 106mm and 53mm dimensions shown.
We use a Festool but the same principle applies If you use your steel track centered on each or these measurements you will end up with a neat box, with Mitered corners. Cut the yellow areas out with a sharp Stanley after they are grooved, in the middle of the groove and foldFrame wise get one made 615mm, and pop rivet top and bottom along the butt joints.
You’ll end up with one similar to the cross shown.
