I just got ‘Mathiased’.
I had a enquiry asking if our plotter did ‘pouncing’. So I googled Graphtec pouncing etc and found that our machine did indeed did pounce. However the tool is about £200.00 so I sent an EMAIL to Edward Mathias asking if they did anything suitable, this was a few days ago. Then about two hours ago the phone went & I recognised his dulcet tones almost immediately and my heart sank as I knew I was going to be there for a very, very long time.
Lovely guy & very knowledgeable but not on a Friday afternoon! I need a few pints now to get over it.

In the past, I rang up with an order for a pen holder for my
brand new GCC jaguar plotter (as they don’t do one)
shiver’s went down my spine when my enquiry was pasted
over to him… I still remember a lost hour on a call maybe a decade
before…. After saying I’d like to order said holder, he just went
on and on, with his opinion of my new machine, hence after having
to listen to his dis-like to my machine, and thinking enough is enough
as I only wanted to order, I had to end the call…
BTW I’m very happy with my GCC and would have bought a new Mutoh
cutter…. but GCC makes the new Mutoh Value-Cut for Mutoh (same machine)

Is this the video you’re talking about? I made this 10 years ago. 🙂 I now pounce with a Summa. So much quieter than the Graphtec and does a great job.

I feel for you Kev, I’ve had a few conversations with Harry over the years but try and stay away from calling for obvious reasons. When I have a customer with a blade problem we explore every Avenue possible and if all else fails the dreaded call needs to be made, and if my customer is female, I don’t even mention EM. Harry knows his stuff and he’s sure is a one off

Harry is a lovely man, there is nothing wrong with educating us with his vast knowledge. 👍
i think we all tend to go on a bit when on the phone. or is that just women? 🤔🤣
