How to improve these lines I get on solid colours when printing pull up banner?
Posted by Pane Talev on August 30, 2022 at 8:55 amGood day folks
How to improve these printing lines / shades that I get on solid colours when printing pull up banner material?
Where to look? What to change?

I would try uni-directional, with higher passes, or high quailty mode if you have it.

That’s exactly what I did Jamie. 1440 dpi. 46min = 1 roll up. Crazy slow. But glad job is done.
I wonder what is the problem:
Media?
Profile?
File?

i had this when i was printing a vector colour blend.
i changed it to a .jpg file and it printed fine. -

The rest of the print is perfect. Only the green has this shade / banding. Bizarre.

Another thing to check is the vacuum on the print bed. if its too strong, it may “hold back” the vinyl on the printer from flowing through at an even pace, resulting in some ugly uneven print lines.
Ive certainly made that mistake in the past.
Yes I know its only on the green for you, but its something to bear in mind.

Could be the machine trying to hit the colour and it’s not. Change to a spot colour that’s the closest shade of purple you can find and it should come out a lot better if not perfect

This turned out to be the material.
When no solid colour background is printed, print quality is spot on.
When background is printed, because of statics, the banding / lines appear.
Looking for new roll up media.
