hi guys, i know people have talked about this before, think i have found a resonable solution, dont know if anyone else has used it before. I painted some with hammerite, and it seems to stick well, cover well, looks neat. what do u think ?

    hi Matt,

i’ve never tried to cover it, except 10mm stuff, i normally just use a small stanley woodworking plane to tidy the edges, i always try and push dibond, and explain that the foamex will discolour around the cut edges if not framed,

    their call then !

If it important to have tidy edges you can get foamalux xtra – it’s a 3ply 10mm recycled pvc (the centre is anyway) with a black core – it’s pretty cheap but it’s main down side is the face marks easier than standard foam, a nice product though and especially good if ‘greeness’ helps make the sale! – Would like to see a pic of the hammerite finish though!?
