    Hi

I know everyone uses different vinyls but how much do you pay

Let us know what widths etc and how much per linear metre, supplier and service.

Using the power of the UKSG we should all benefit from lower prices so if someone is getting huge discounts then it would be easier for the shop to negotiate a deal for all.

We could do this for other materials as well

    What do you think Rob????

    Hi Andyā€¦
I donā€™t want to sound like. ā€œOh thatā€™s already been doneā€ sort of thing. šŸ˜•
But! this is the whole concept of being a member of the UKSG ā€œUK sign groupā€

The site. ā€œUK sign boardsā€ is home of the UKSG. Now the biggest buying group in the UK.
We already have set-up a buying deal with suppliers after months of negotiating.
We now have 60 actively buying members. Hence what it says on the news section of the home pageā€¦

As for moving onto lots of other materials. Well our source has the bulk of them.
But negotiating group buying in other not so popular products, has proved more difficult for me than I first thoughtā€¦
    What I mean is this.
To start with I negotiated buying prices for vinyl. Easy done as 99% of sign makers buy it daily.
Now take ink for screen printersā€¦ this is very different. Why? Well out of the 60 members only about 5 do screen-printing. So I canā€™t possibly have the same buying strength to approach a major supplier with only 5 accounts.

What I have done though is to set-up an online shop, which will open soon. Anyone will be able to buy at a very good discount rate on loads of materials. Once the UKSG grows to say 200 members I can then look again at
What members I have all buying the same product. So by then I could have 200 members. But! Have 60 screen printers. Then in I go for the kill. This will be done when I see the opening for any product I can over time.

The next best thing I can see to do for us all, Is to open an online shop. Like I said. That Will be here very shortly. šŸ˜‰
