i don’t know the UV guard life but i wouldn’t give anymore than 2-3 years guarantee to anyone. i know most spec says 3-5 and that’s fine quoting what your supplier tells you but never give a set time guarantee or it will come back and bite you. :lol1:

should have said what i use it for.

it has a very high gloss hard finish and makes a dedicated sticker very durable but not used for big long lasting stuff.

    Hi Fred,

Entirely my fault , i have your fax on my desk , Orafol normally gurantee UV protection to be increased by a further year over the ink life , this laminate is a HG (high Gloss) polyester , the link George gave you is where you will find the spec sheet.

I will give you a call next week , the fact i am working on a sunday will tell you how busy we have been.

    All the best

    quote :

    Service life by specialist application
under vertical outdoor exposure (normal climate of
    Central Europe)
    2 years

from the spec sheet thats why i dont use it on longer lasting stuff or have i got it wrong again.
so why say it will make the ink last another year ?

    HI there,

Polyester is not recommended for long life exterior uses , i have sent details of the 210G PVC which has an outside life of 4 years and ink enhancement of + 2 years.
220HG also says + 2 years as can also be used to overlaminate internal prints using non colourfast inks.

    Regards

i use the 210G it is a nice gloss laminate, little bit of silvering if going on cold but clears fairly quickly
