    Hi Gray
Can’t compare it with what you’ve been working with but can only tell you how Oracal performs.

    I have 651 and 751

They both have a certain elasticity about them which is of course is a plus.

751 of course having longer durability and I will probably only stock this one in future

I have used several vinyl brands in the past but Oracal seems to be best for me

Gray I have some Oracal 651 and 751 here just small amounts so I am not an “Oracal user”, but do have about 250 rolls of Avery here, the local oracal guy says that 751 is like Avery 800 and is here about the same price. I would question this as Avery 800 is a cast vinyl and Oracal 651 and 751 are calendered.

Avery’s new 700 series is really nice to work with, and has an extended life over the old 600 series, and early 700 series, I would say looking at the 2 that they are very similar (751 and 700series). I tried to run a 50m 651 through my Edge and succeeded! but prefer printing on Avery 700.

I think Oracal 751 is probably a good one to run with Avery 700, they also do a new cast Oracal 851.

As a side note I was very impressed with what Rob has managed to do with his 751 in different situations like talgates and recesses in pressings.

The old liner has blue Avery fascal on the back in blue always looked abit blurred compared to 800 series backing it said in small blue letters 600 series then 700 series.

New 700 has a grey print on the back and just says Avery Graphics and a webaddress, and it says Avery PF (premium films) 700 in larger text.

On the 800 series “new” 800 has an “R” after Avery like Avery (R) 820 Grey / ref 947042

    Hope that helps you!
