  • How do you get text To taper away in corel?

Posted by Paul Humble on November 12, 2008 at 9:34 am

    Hi everyone,

Im having difficulty getting text to taper away. Im not great at explaining and cant upload in this section but basically I have an image of a shutter that goes off into the distance, so I need my text to start at one size then get smaller as it goes away from you.

Any ideas? I know it will be simple but its something ive never needed to do yet.

    Cheers

    Paul

It depends on the software you are using Paul. Most sign design software feature distortions that you can apply to the lettering. One of these is a perspective distortion which gives the impression of the lettering running away into the distance just as you have described.

in Illustrator it’s under effects and is called "Warp" there are many settings there to do many different things including what you are asking, more than likely yours will be under a different name in Corel but look through the effects and you should find it.

    Sorry can’t be more help.

    cheers
