  • how do you cut a log of vinyl?

    😀 I Have Purchased Some Vinyl From A Friend Who Is Going Abroad, 🙂
    😕 Problem is its too long for my cutter need to cut it down to 600mm. 😕
    Any ideas the best way to Cut Logs. (!)

    If its a small quantity, one or two rolls, I would just cut it by hand with a straight edge. Or make a simple guide by clamping a straight edge or baton to the edge your table /bench (if its big enough) You can then tap a stanley knife blade into the table (eye protection advised) at an angle and about halfway along the length of the table. Put the roll at one end of the table and as you unroll it, and feed it through you blade, and re roll at the other end. Probably need 2 people to do this.

    Ive used a band saw with a fine blade in before with reasonable results.
