glad you found vectorwise a good service helly.

i can confirm though, everything recreated by vectorwise is done manually. no fancy tracing software etc 😀

you need good eye and patience :lol1:
yes i redraw everything from scratch using artwork supplied by the customer. I suppose ive been vectorising now for around 8 years so im so used to speeding around them.

    thanks for the feedback Helly.

The only way to vector properly is to do it manually as iv yet to come across a tracing program that is up to scratch. Also with most tracing there is so much tiding up afterwards that you will notice that starting from scratch would have been a lot quicker. Good vectoring comes with practice and plenty of it. You would be surprised at how quick you become at it. What programs do you use andrew? I use adobe illustrator but mainly flexi sign pro for it.

I use Signlab and Corel to produce all the vectors I create. I personally prefer Signlab as ive used it forever.

As a tip, I find Flexi’s colour trace works better than the black and white trace for some reason.

Iv noticed that as well but still cant beat the manual way to get it right.
Iv done one job and it took me 31hours from start to finish. I done it over 3 weeks for a mate of mine. And i swore id never do it again.

Never got the picture of the car in the end as it was too dark then crashed afterwards a few weeks later. Ill post up the pic in another form in jpeg format. Id say to do it now would take 10-12 hours (much quicker now) It was a custom drawn boy racer graphic narrowed down to eight colours. Wife was away for 2 weeks so had nothing better to do in the evenings so didnt mind doing a one of then but not any more. Once bitten twice shy. And I did charge for it. Just not enough
