    Hi folks.

What do you use to trim you paper/vinyl with?

We have a few a3, a4 cheap trimmers costing £50 ish. I have seen similar for £200, seem a lot more for the same.

    So what do you use?

We just use a sharp knife and have various straight edges of different lengths

mostly a stanley blade and a s/steel rule / edge.

I have had a few ‘budget’ trimmers / guillotines but have yet to find a good one, knife better!

    Keen Cut EVO II

I have a few customers who order 10+ posters a month. I’ve rigged two brackets on the wall opposite the bench, and just reel off the posters trim their short edges and put to one side, then trim the long edges.

There should be pic attached. It’s a little excessive for 1 off prints, but has the added bonus of cutting foamex, foam core and correx.

For accurate cutting, stainless steel straight edge and scalpel , we do have an A3 Guillotine (Rexel CL410 with Laser line – once set up is very accurate) for small work (and cuting sublimation sheets up for mug pressing etc).

If I’m just cutting up sheets of stickers that have already been contour cut on the VS I use the Saftey Rule Platinum and Cut Coaster from Jag Sign Supplies. (we have a 12’x6′ work bench with one piece cutting mat on).
