Having a problem when we have a font that may be too thin and needs an outline. When we use the ‘Contour’ tool in Corel Draw it creates alot of uncessary nodes and often our Graphtec cutter wont cut it. I’m talking thousands! I’ve looked but cannot find a ‘reduce nodes’ in the contour tool or anything. Is there a different way to to do it. Also have the same problem if we ‘Convert outline to object’.
Thinking of purchasing Corel 12. Does this have a better function in this area? (hot)

Use the shape tool (under the arrow) to select the object , then at the top bar there is a icon next to a input box thats got a slider , this icon looks like a whole lot of arrows and nores (next to the elastic band one) , this pick all nodes. Once you icked em , enter a no like 25 or 30 in box next to it , enter and voila , a major amount less nodes. This also can change the shape of the object , so just check after simplifying , that the object is still true to the origional. I normally copy the object on top if itself and apply the simplification to one , and thus can see if it differs from the original.

On simpler object put an outline on and convert that to object. Nodes are curves not small straight lines, can be erratic on some text though.
