  • How do i print a double sided banner?

Posted by Steve McAdie on June 16, 2008 at 1:32 pm

I have been asked to print a double sided banner. My question is what is the best way to achieve this? Should I print on one side then turn over and try to align the print with the other side or print two off next to each other and fold over. Any help appreciated. Size is roughly 2m X 500mm on cadet plus.

Did one a wee while ago.

The major downside of ‘normal’ banner material is it lets light through.
Printing on the back looks great until it’s hung up!!

In the end – I did the two-back-to-back.

Since then just used a total block material.

Thanks Dave, How did you finish/join the edges? I have hemming tape but was thinking that it maybe better sewn.

    Taped…and a few extra eyelets.

    Thought about sewing…couldn’t be bothered!

    Hi All

Hexis do a double sided block out banner which is printable both sides. I used it recently to do a couple of heavy duty flags and it worked really well on the Versacamm.

    Kind regards

When you print the first side put a hole in the top right hand corner of the print. Then flip it over and put it back in the printer. Set the cutting blade to this point and hit base point. Print the second side not centered and it should come out fine.

We did one not too long ago like this and it came out nice.

We left the sides simply cut with no hem and just did pole inserts top and bottom.

    Hi Mate

The Hexis blackout D/Sided banner material is thick enough to just cut and eyelet. they are promotional so are not used that often

    Kind regards Alex
