how do i outline blended text please?
Posted by Adrian Yeo on February 1, 2008 at 9:59 pmHi there
Only having just started to play with my cadet, I have stumbled upon a problem.
I have some blended text (using corel 11) that i want to put an outline around to cut. simple. But can I find out how to do it? can I hell!
Using RGB 1,1,1 as my cut colour. Can anybody enlighten me please?
Thanks
Adrian

Select the text you wish to contour cut and Right click on the colour shade that has a colour mix RGB 1,1,1 (you will have to create it) .
Export as .eps and open up in your RIP. Bobs yur Uncle 😀

Thanks Phil,
Tried that, but all that seems to happen is the blend takes on the solid colour of the outline. (If that makes sense)?
I have attached the CDR file that I am trying to outline if anyone fancies a go? 😀
Sorry Robert, I should have put this in the ‘Corel section’ 😳

Duplicate the design. Un group it, weld it, and asign the welded outline as the cut path.overlay over the origanal
Hope it makes senseIan

just buy signlab….
sorry I tried it in corel, but takes far less time and effort in signlab.
ok, I know, signlab costs a bomb, but for this kind of stuff, it just does it with one click…..

Alan, here’s how it was done.
Make a copy on a new page, break blend apart ( as this blend had 200 layers in it, I had to reduce it to 25) select all and weld. Then use create boundary, copy and paste on original layer, and bob’s your uncle. -
Peter, thanks that’s what I wanted to know and accounts for jaggies on slanting lines, I like to think I’m fairly up with Corel stuff and I wasn’t aware of an automatic way of doing it.
