hi all, just a quick one, if anyone can help?

i use corel draw 11 for all my design/ artwork stuff but are receiving a lot of customer artwork as .pdf files.

when i try to open/ import the .pdf into corel draw it tells me the file is corrupt, although if i open it in adobe illustrator it open fine.

    any ideas??

    cheers

Reason forthis is that Corel V11 doesn’t support that level of pdf (you may find some work ok). X3 does a very good job of importing pdf, converting the embedded font to curves if the font is not available on your system.
In the mean time Install a postscript printer and set it to file, print from Acrobat to this printer, import the resulting ps file into Draw using the ‘postscript interpreted filter’ there may be font issues so beware of that – or if you have full Acrobat save the pdf as eps with fonts embedded and then import that into Draw using same filter.
