    Hi,
I was just wondering how I can import EPS files into coreldraw.
I have coreldraw 12 and have the EPS filter added in the option/ filters list but most of the EPS files that I import come up with a grey box with the coreldraw version number in it. I have looked everywhere I can think of in corel, but just can’t get my head round it.
Is this limitations of corel or have I not got something enabled or selected?

    Alex.

funny you should say that, mine did just that the other day, every eps i imported came up as a grey box just telling me the file name in ‘phsyco’ font and corel ver 11 writtn in there,

had to open the eps in a new window, then copy paste ! seems fine now though !

As Dave says the interpreted filter is the one if you want to edit, the eps filter only displays the header or grey box if there is none, this is for positioning and sizing it will however print correctly but only to a postscript device. In some instances interpreting may give unexpected results with fountain fills etc depending on where it was generated. Corel X3 now only has the one filter and if 1 eps is imported at a time you will get a dialogue box giving you the choice of placed or editable along with text options, importing multiple eps files at once will give placed eps.
