  • how do i go about installing fonts into signlab?

    Hi
My second visit here & another problem, so I apologise in advance-will try to contribute in other ways soon !

Following a pc re-build I re-installed signlab e6 rev6 and can’t remember if this was the case first time around but got no option to install signlab fonts/clipart from cd during process-anyhow, I tried to install using the font installer, pointing it to my e.drive and selecting ‘install all’ this it did and I got the ‘fonts installed’ message, however as soon as the cd is ejected from the dive the fonts vanish, re-appearing when it’s put back in.

Looking at the training cd, it says that signlab will only look in the windows ‘fonts’ folder but I can’t seem to transfer the fonts from cd to that location either, I get ‘unable to install-may be corrupt’ message.

Any ideas/ no doubt I’m being borderline stupid here (again) but it’s wasting a lot of my work time trying to solve it-also the clipart ‘go to’ menu says ’empty’ & I can’t recall how I installed this either!….ah well!…there’s always one eh!

You need to copy the fonts from the cd on to your hard drive.

Going to file & install doesn’t physically put them there.

Thanks for replies guys, sorry to be such a boring ole t*t…this is all new to me, technology that is, spent 35 years as a traditional signwriter & only recently decided to ‘have a go at’ cyberland.

3 or 4 pages will do. You don’t have to go o.t.t.

Oh! well done John, Poor JJ is now probably having a screaming fit – 1st thinking he’s got to post pages of experience and secondly he’s still working out what font to use and how the hell to load it 😀 😀 😀
