how do i go about changing xp com port?

Into Advanced area you should get to see Com port numbers within the com port device.

not 100% sure but if you go to

Device manager, if you can see the card there, double click on it then double click properties then port settings then advanced you should then be able to click on & adjust the com port at the bottom of the window.

only problem is i cant find a port setting tab found it all on another machine but not this one ?????
