  • how do i get my toolbar back in corel 9 please?

Posted by John & Dawn Roddick on July 12, 2006 at 10:34 pm

I’ve done a magic trick and made a toolbar disappear from my screen in Corel Draw 9 – it’s the one which shows the current page size, allows you to change from inches to mm etc. I had the same problem before and managed to find it again but not tonight! Does anyone know how to do this?

I just learned tonight on Letterhead.com that you can supposedly reset your Corel,
by pushing in your F8 key as it is loading.
    Returns your default settings.
I might try it, but I dunno if it works!
    Miss you guys.

nah……. I hardly use corel! Only because I dont know how right enough! I do all my work in signlab but if I’m emailing artwork i import it into corel then send a jpeg from there do they dont have vectorised artwork. I only change the colours in there as corel has much better clarity.

but I’d quite like to know how to get my colour palette back ….. I had a quick look but I’ve got NO patience and couldnt be ars*d! 😳

Again from memory: i’m in my laptop and don’t have Corel installed here. 😳

Window / Color Palettes / Default CMYK Palette or whatever palette you use.

The property bar is checked but I still can’t see it.

Probably you dragged it to a place where you can’t see it but the program assumes it as being visible.

Either Reset all Settings from Corel using F8 as Jill said or try this 1st:

Tools / Customization / Command Bars or Toolbars i’m not sure then choose your desired toolbar and choose to reset it.

    Hope you sort it out.

I think you’re right Vitor. I have tried all of the suggestions posted (thanks folks) but I still can’t see it. The box is checked, meaning it shouldn’t be hidden for view but I’ll be damned if I can find it. Even resetting all options to default doesn’t help. This is the worst game of hide and seek I’ve ever played!

    Try… Window > dockers > or Toolbars

You can goto tools-customisation-commands – layout from the dropdown – paper from the list under page size – drag this onto an existing toolbar or let it be its own, or double click on the page boarder and set page size from there.

Maybe I’m missing the point 😕 Is Corel better at rendering?

If you have Signlab 7 it can be exported as JPGs, BMPs, TIFs, PCXs & PNGs
    FILE>>>EXPORT IMAGE

And this works for just about every older version RENDER TO BITMAP>>>EXPORT IMAGE

bit odd that Marcella…Export out of SignLab should work…

The F8 route is best answer, I use it often when Corel screws about and resets to default.

Anyway, turning menus off/on is easy, right mouse button on the empty space on the top toolbar, put a tick in the "Propery Bar"

David I wouldnt necessarily say Corel was better at the actual rendering but vectors do display on screen significantly better. X3 can publish to pdf more efficiently than SL and you can also add security.
