    Hi all,

I have just got Corel X3, previously having been a bit back in the dark ages and using Corel 7. In Corel 7 you can change the spacing between letters of a word which I think was called character spacing. It was done as a percentage of the character’s width.

I can’t seem to find this in X3, can anyone help?!

Also, I read on one of the posts that you could cut directly from Corel X3 to the cutter. I’m using a Pcut 630 machine. It said to use a Graphtec ce1000-60 windows driver which I downloaded and installed but it didn’t work…probably doing something simple wrong but would be interested if anyone could shed any light on it or alternatively if anyone knows of a windows driver for the Creation Pcut machines.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers,

    Jon

Select your text and hilight it with the text tool. Then press Ctrl T. The options box on the right of the screen has "Range Kerning" which is percentage based. It’s a bit daft that you must highlight the text as well!

Goto tools – custumisation – commands – from text in dropdown find the spacing options for word and letter and line – drag each icon onto your bar.
You can drag many of your most used functions onto the bar, save it and then if you need a F8 restart you can always reimport.

Some users have reported problems when importing a workspace from different versions it is always best to launch draw at install with factory default and then rebuild workspace.
