Posted by Steve Sandy on September 17, 2007 at 6:54 pm

    Evening all,
Thought I would post this on here, Dont really know where I should have put it.

I have done a design in corel 12 and need to send it to a screen printer, He wants it as a pdf file. Can anyone help in telling me how to do this. Tried the drop down menu in the save as section but it’s not there. Am a bit stuck if anyone could help me out.

    Regards
    Steve

    Hi Steve

If it’s not in the Save as drop down try the export option.

hope that helps, I don’t have Corel draw 😕

    Hi Warren,
Nope not on either of those options. I just went online and found a company that does file to pdf changes for £9.99 a month sign up. I didnt realise before how they came about, I always thought it was just another save option. Maybe I will have to keep looking.

p.s. Liked the new sign by the way mate.

You can get a utility that converts your file into a pdf. I asked the same question here some time ago and I think it was Shane or Dawn Roddick that told me to use cute pdf which is a free utility

    http://www.cutepdf.com/

Basically you install it on your PC and it works like a printer. You go to print your file as normal but select the cute pdf option from your range of printers and it will produce the pdf for you. Everything is explained on the site

    Chris Wool,
Thankyou so much, I had looked done the file menu so many times before and nothing, could not see it for trying. Then you replied and "Chris is your uncle" it was there almost flashing at me in neon. I dont know how I missed it before. Thanks so much Chris. I will now be starting a web site offering this service for £8.99 a month lol.

    Regards
    Steve

Thanks for the reply Phill it was staring at me all the time in the end. Sorry to hear your MP couldnt help you with the lease term and the council. Everone council is different to another I suppose, By the way will you be voting for him.

….or you could always use the "publish to pdf" option in the file menu 😳

Our MP did write to the council on our behalf – we finally received a reply on Saturday outlining the councils policy regarding leasing and given us assurances that there are no plans to re-develop the site where we are (yet 😕 )

I was impressed with our MP and will vote for him next time even though he’s Labour
