  • How do I add abrasive guard

Posted by Dave Bruce on May 6, 2006 at 8:12 pm

Can someone tel me how I add abrasive guard to the finished print on my Gerber Edge? I have been in to Print setup and Finishes where the flood coating etc is but it won’t allow me to untick no finishing.

    I am using Signlab7.1

    Cheers

Dave you need to make sure you have a spot foil pallette as your default.

Oh yer, why is the background black when I go to print/cut?

You must have black as your substrata, click on the layer set up and choose the print and cut option, and type and colour vinyl you are using.

I normally set the pallette, halftones and substrata to load by default.

Dave, it hapens if you open a file that wasnt created as print and cut, it opens with the original pallette and no print info.

Ah that’s the reason then Peter as most of my files are created on 7.1 without thermal add on.

Thanks for that, I will correct it tomorrow.
