Glue-chipping is not for the faint of heart.
You can learn it at a Letterhead meet.
I’ve seen it done but never done it.
I know it involves blacking out the non-chipped areas with Asphaltum,
than applying a heated glue made from horse hide to the areas to be chipped.
As this glue dries, it makes minute cracks and chips in the glass, and you can actually hear it crackle.
How to get it off? I never saw that part.
    Sorry for my limited knowledge.
Their are glass conclaves held in the States.
If you are near to the Scotland meet next week, it might help to attend.
It is almost a lost art that is slowly being revitalized.

    Hi Mirella

It is possible to buy patterned glass with the "gluechip" look. Alternatively, you can by Gluechip kits to do it yourself. A quick Google search will bring up several sites selling relatively inexpensive kits – some even suggests it quite easy, though never tried it myself

I’m just glad that someone is still doing that stuff and passing on the methods. Just beautiful.
