  • how can I do this in Signlab?

Just thought, as a lot of members use SL perhaps we could exchange tips and tricks, in a dedicated forum. Cadlinks site is getting better, but practical help from a fellow user may be better?
Is Anyone interested and if so is it possible Rob??
And perhaps the same for other dedicated sign software?

Yeah that ain`t a bad idea Pete.

There are many different tips and tricks on software scattered across many different forums. Would be nice if they were all together for easier reference.

Theres such a wide array of software and techniques though. Hard to catergorise them all under 1 title.

    I like the idea.

    Sounds a good idea.

Sometimes there are almost ‘hidden features’ and tricks to get round the limitations of not having the super-dooper all the modules you can eat version….sometimes to the obvious disappointment of the reps that wanted to sell that extra £500 worth of upgrade 😉

Perhaps a photoshop section too although it’s not really a ‘sign program’ – it’s a female dog to learn and the collective sharing of insight can’t be bad if it speeds up the process!

    Peter,
Excellent idea! I’ve been using SignLab since it was called Sign Studio. I’m self taught apart from a days tuition when I bought the program and my Roland Plotter from Cadlink years ago. I’ve just upgraded again to V7.0 with my new VersaCamm and I had some more training – and I realise that I know very little about how much can be done with the program, so I’d welcome the opportunity to exchange some ideas.

Signlab users can goto http://www.cadlink.com click on infosearch then forums. If you have registered and logged in you can post questions if not you can only read what others have already posted. Questions are answered by other users or very frequently by Cadlink staff. Questions range from ‘how do I do this’ to the more technical stuff. I think all Signlab users should a least have a quick look as it can be a valuable resource.

    Hiya Al!
We’ve both been having a fair bit of input over at the Cadlink forum.
It’s nice to put a face to the name..sorry I don’t have an avatar here.
Besides, I wouldn’t scrub up nearly as good…(Aussie slob!) hehe

I like the idea of having a Signlab specific forum, that’s why I jump in over at Cadlink’s forum.

It’d be good to see more users posting over there though.

It’s a great way to discuss the inner workings & quirks, air your grievances, or put up suggestions.
The responses from the techs are always prompt & curteous.
