    Hi Guys

I’m trying to convert two signpal (flexisign derivative) files to illustrator so I saved them out as eps but get the following message when trying to open in illustrator

The MPS parser is unable to parse the file

what does this mean and how do I overcome it please 😕

    Thanks in advance – John

    John,

Not sure what it all means I’m afraid but you could try converting text to curves/outlines and ungrouping everything before exporting. This seems ot have worked for some problem files I had but can’t remember the exact circumstances.

If there are any images involved, perhaps these could be deleted before saving the file and re-introduced into Illustrator afterwards.

I have flexi – you could pm me the file and I’ll see if I can open in Flexi/export any better although may have to wait until Monday as not sure how long will be here.

thanks for all your help 😀 😀 sorted now and as advised this is how i cured the problem if anyone else has trouble

    1) open signpal/flexi doc
    2) select all
    3) ungroup all
    4)convert to outlines
    5)copy all
6)open new flexi doc and paste
    7)export as eps
    8)Hey Presto open in illustrator
