How’s it going for you and the family during this turbulent time

Hi John.
I’m fine. I am so lucky my power did not go out.
It usually does very easily and stays off for days.
Thanks to that, my cellar is merely damp and not flooded.
The sump pump has been running steadily.
My roof is leaking at the chimney site
(we’ve never got prolonged rain from that direction)
I got out of bed at midnight and put all my porch furniture in the living room.
There is no school today.
My "significant other" who lives near Somerset, has oodles of snow.
But all in all, everything is a lot better than I anticipated.
Thanks for thinking of me.
Love….Jill -
Glad to hear you’re safe. It sounds terrible the storm that’s hitting America just now and it’s all over our news headlines here

my older brother is more or less trapped in a hotel in Manhatten just now.
he’s fine but can imagine its going to be a bit of a clean up before he can leave.i said i bet the floods are playing havoc with your floor installation work. nothing worse than applying vinyl wet! 😉 :lol1:

So, 7 days to the election and the east coast get whacked with a super storm… Perfect opportunity for Obama to do a nice song and dance routine, ensuring his popularity at the polls. Feel the love….
May the force be with you, Jill.

Gordon, we share the same conspiracy theory about that one!
🙂
I’m worried that people will see Sandy as an act of God and make Obama appear a hero. Helps to keep talk of Benghazi out of the news, too.My niece in NJ, who commutes to Manhattan for work, finally got her power back on yesterday.
My good friend who lives in NJ had a lot of property damage but his house is OK.
My other NJ friend had the water come right up to his shop but it did not go in.
He still is without power. -
Enough said, Jill. I’m thinking more positively now… Surely a lot of shops etc are going to be looking for new signs when things dry out a bit? Maybe you could ask the HAARP chaps to fire some rays at the UK.

One woman was tragically killed by a sign in Toronto during Sandy. I hope everyone is confident of their anchor points in readiness for the next one.
