I’m looking to save some money if possible….I’ve been using the BT free evening and weekend call package but still seem to spend about £250 a year

I’ve tried a couple of the comparison websites and it’s thrown up Primus and Toucan as two cheaper alternatives.

I’m just wondering if anybody has any experience of either of these or can point me in the right direction

Review Sky as well.. I hear on the grapevine that they have UK Call centre and costs for Sky includes BT or something like that.
Also remember, once you go over to one of these make sure you Internet will be okay and you know that once you have gone over you will struggle to get back to BT when they don’t deliver.

Do not do it to the business line.

I changed to TalkXL and have had nothing but trouble since, I will be going back to BT.

Our phones have been with Just Utilities for some years now, and I’ve never regretted the change. 😀

    Hi Glenn,
Billing has been the main problem, bills should have been 25% cheaper, when the bill arrived it was 50% dearer than BT. I know a few people who have changed to other providers with no problem but I wouldn’t recommend TalkXL at all.

I use Talktalk……….never had any problem other than slow download speed (because of the distance from the local exchange)……..my package includes all call at anytime including international.

We had a second line in and use the sky service on that one, all calls are free up to one hour ( then need to redial ) including a ton of international calls. Yup it still means having the BT rental but that is fine – still saving a fortune and actually use that phone now when calling relatives abroad.

We’ve found it a lot easier to keep the costs separate.

    Saph 🙂
