Is such a vinyl available, the white calendered stuff i use is only rated to around 105 deg C but discolours after a while as it’s in a hot place on an engine cover.
I would need it to go a little higher in temp (roughly up to 150 deg C). Just plain gloss white for vinyl cut lettering is required.

    Thanks in advance.

Isn’t there an armed forces grade? I remember having a quote for this at £25 p.m. I think it was only available in white?? All a bit vague now as it was a long time ago to be used on a Porsche engine.

    Thanks Jason,
I’ll do some digging but if any higher temp vinyl is not available then the decal will have to become a consumable item on the engine.

    Thanks,
    Al.

i do a fair amount of this sort of thing and my rule is if you can put you hand on the surface at normal operating temps. and keep it there then it will be ok, else no go.

Chris, normally up to 90 deg C I’ve never had an issue but these are near hot exhausts and even with a heat shield they deteriorate after a while.
Not too much of an issue to replace when needed but if there was something more durable on the market with higher temp resistance then it would have been worth a look.
    Cheers,
    Al.
