Hey all.

I thought id try this again.

I’m Dave from Manchester, i recently bought a graphtec 24 inch plotter, which i intend to use to make signs for my current business, i also anticipate that i will pick up other work and the t-shirt side of it is something I’m going to play around with in the not too distant future.

I’m kinda reluctant to do this now, because when i introduced myself the other night i ran into a wall of hostility, which degenerated into me being derided for my spelling(for the record, i was typing really fast in a vain effort to defend myself :lol1: ), looking back i think i worded my post really badly and it came across all wrong.

Anyway, my reasons for getting into this are..

A, I have 70+ vehicles that i want new signs for, and it makes a lot of sense financially, and in terms of flexibility, for me to do them myself.

B, My current job bores the hell out of me, i like a challenge and i think, with a lot of effort and research, I’ll be able to do a good job of this.

If I’m not welcome here because sign-writing isn’t my main job that’s fine, but id ask you all to remember that you were beginners once, and that the reason i’m here is because i have a healthy interest in sign-writing and i would like to learn from the best.

Hi David, yes there are plenty of us here that were self taught and we were ALL newbies at one time.
