Hi Everyone,
My name is Zain, and I’m from the West Midlands.
Ive spent a year and a half working in a local printers unit. Was employed to help make local shop signs, and install them. An extra set of hands if you will.
Last week, my boss, done a ‘runner’ , closing the unit, owing many people money for signs he took deposits for, and also owing me 3 months pay.
quite embarrassed I fell for his lies for 3months of not paying me. 😳Over the year I started to enjoy playing with illustrator and photoshop, and also started to print some banners for friends and clients. Then I started to design them. All printing was done on a versacamm. A lovely printer to work with (from my limited knowledge and experience)
I’m currently looking into purchasing a versacamm for myself, and make my own independent business. I have many clients from the past year who trust me, and I am hoping they can be my starting point.
Well, that’s my printing story, hope it hasn’t bored you all! 😳
I hope to learn lots from this place, and perhaps get advice on machines and also some good contacts for materials.

maybe best to outsource your printing for a while to get on your feet, unless you think your possible existing customer base is big enough to support the cost of a printer?
