let’s see, I thought it was time to introduce myself. I have been haunting the board for some time now. I am not sure how or if I would fit in, I am just soaking it all in and learning.
I am not a ‘professional commercial’ signmaker but aspiring to be. At this point I am a small racing graphics division of the family racing equipment bussiness. I letter Race Cars and decorate garments using Heat Transfer materials and my plotter. I have also created a few banners and have lettered vehicles. I will be adding Dye Sublimation soon. I also have a airbrush waiting for a victim.. eer volenteer.
I am not in the UK either, I live in the country, back hills of Tennessee USA about 40 miles from Nashville. I have a wonderful and loving husband, 16 yr old son, a goat, dog, and 3 cats.
I have no formal training, just what I have read, experienced and picked up the last few years. Observation is my best teacher. I have the backing of Signmaster, the owner a old family friend, who is always there for advice and encouragement, and a tint shop in town who does not work in vinyl, but has some wonderful equipment and material that I can use if I need in exchange for my talent in cutting vinyl.
My equipment is a Roland CX-24 plotter, Epson Printer, Knight digital combo heat press, I use Corel Draw 10 as my software and I prefer Oracal Films, cheap and easy to work with.
Grey Hodge gave me the address for your lovely board, so I hope to do him proud.

Welcome to this fab place, if you need help there are loads of people ready to throw ideas at you. I don’t know what I would do sometimes without getting some real valued advice.

The race cars you do, are they for any top teams? Maybe we allready see them on the telly.

Anyway I would like to give you a warm Welsh Wooly welcome. 😆

    Timmy……. 😛
