“Mike the sign” suggested I get in touch.I’ve just moved to Whitby from Oxfordshire, where I was fortunate to be a close neighbour of Mikes, and I’m a bit lonely up here.I am what the Americans call a “Brush man”and relatively new to the game and am also an old dog and a luddite.am looking forward chatting with you all,and probably posting the odd rant as well.Cheers – Pete -

Mike ,I will be in your neck of the woods on Friday, will call in.Gray-it’s currently home to the HMS Bark Endeavour just sailed round from your end of town.You should come to Whitby, great scenery, great fish and chips,great beer and great signs,even the fish and chip shops have gold leaf on thir windows thanks to the legacy of one Allan Freeman

ooohhh Whitby Fish & Chips, they are by far the best in the world, you lucky sod…. when i lived in york i have on several occasions taken a trip to whitby just for a bit of quiet and a bloody good fish supper!

Hi Pete, bit belated but welcome to the boards anyway. Youll find there is a good mix of people on here but there is a sortage of “brush men” so dont be surprised if you get you brains picked.
