Hi all from Beej :)
Hiya Everyone, just wanted to drop by to ask a couple of questions and let you know what I have been up to 🙂
Last couple of years (especially last year with beginning of Lockdown hitting us all) have been pretty awful for me personally, especially health-wise. But things are on the up and like most of us, I am trying really hard to keep creative by working on-line. I’ve set up a couple of stores via Red Bubble and Amazon Merch to sell shirts etc and done a few, but last year, I created a very special memorial piece (Airbrushed but full photo retouch in Photoshop first) for a friend who unfortunately lost his Father in Covid times.
I made a collection of 9 tutorial step by step videos (all free to view) and you can go to my website to see those if that interests you https://www.organicimage.com/videos where you will see a small Trailer embedded and then, there are 6 episodes ALL about the Photoshop image re-touching and the final 3 episodes are me Airbrushing the portrait on a section of dashboard from his father’s Mini Cooper. The movies are all embedded on my site or can be watched on Youtube, make sure you click the Hi Quality cog as they are filmed, edited and output from Premiere at hi-res 1920 x 1080 so good for full screen views.
My Red Bubble store is here: organicbeej.redbubble.com and if you fancy looking over some art-themed and airbrush-themed apparel I also have stuff on Amazon which you will find links to on my website or, go to Amazon and search ‘organicbeej’ (one word)
I wanted to say publicly a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Rob and Kyle who helped me cutting files from my art to make the masks for the Mini Cooper job, I couldn’t have done it without your help and I truly appreciated the efforts you went to in helping me 🙂
But also, I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience preparing SVG files to cut over printed materials to a Brother Scan n Cut machine? I am planning on creating a ton of downloadable files of my art to print & cut, not only for Sublimation but for the Scrapbook/Ephemera markets too. I know the Brother can Scan n Cut can do just that – scan and then cut 😉 (my friend has a Brother CM700) But I want to supply SVG files from illustrator with my own hand-drawn outlines which will then register over any printed document (that I too have supplied as a PNG from Photoshop)
If anyone has any info on that I would be very grateful. I want to be able to supply artwork on one page and then SVG files on the other and hopefully, folks can use these on their Cricut, Brother or Silhouette
Thanks everyone
Sincerely,
Beej
