Hey up – thought it ’bout time to say ‘ello
Now then, says a Yorkshire man livin’ in t’Lancashire!
I’ll start by explaining my avatar – I’ve waited until today to upload it ‘cos it’s now the run up to Halloween and one side of the image was taken at Halloween last year (I’ll let you decide which photo) – THANKS LEE for your hard work on the avatar.
I thought I’d show you both sides of the serious workaholic. I know everybody in the sign industry is the same, all of our customers want everything by lunchtime, first thing tomorrow and usually if not sooner so we work all hours, more often than not 7days a week, week after week.
Then there’s the fun side – and the one big event is Halloween, we put a huge amount of effort into decorating the house – I’ll submit a post over the weekend with more detail on this.
But, this is me – Mark, I own and run Lasable (Design Print Sign) here in Leyland, Lancashire. It’s a home run business that is based around Versacamm and GCC JaguarII 101S producing everything from small run 3D domed badges, key-rings etc, banners and magnetic signs to full colour graphics for cars,vans and shopfronts. Hopefully after a little more ‘playing and experimenting’ possibly moving into vehicle wrapping.
I thoroughly enjoy everyday, apart from packing everything up for dispatch, that does get tedious, but usually most days are varied and different. Especially with two English Springer Spaniels getting covered in vinyl, now there’s an idea dog wraps :lol1:
I’ll take this opportunity to apologise to anyone who I might have been in competition with over a contract/tender or if I’ve stepped on anybody’s toes – nothing personal, and to make it up I’ll buy you a drink at signuk (drink1)

Halloween … ace .. but I love Xmas and generally any occassion that you can have have fun…… Im counting down the days till the kids are old enough and at school so we can have halloween parties and decorate the house up as a haunted one ….. Yay!!!
Sounds like you keep nice and busy with work, look forward to seeing some pics of it perhaps?? *nudge nudge* :lol1: No pressure honest!! 😮 :lol1:
Well its Friday night and we are heading back in to work at 8pm to finish the set up at our new premises ….. Im in charge of painting and cleaning out the toilets ……. 😮 Great :lol1: It was either that or lay the laminate flooring which I dont think I’d get very far with, so Steve can get the sore knees!!
Core heck the long speech thingy must be catching … Im off on one now :lol1:
