  • help with searching the boards

Posted by steve geary on October 4, 2005 at 3:48 pm

I seem to have trouble finding topics when i search the boards. I get 5000 matches and the first hundred or so are irrelevent.
I have tried being specific, and the advanced search….
    Maybe I’m missing something obvious??
doesnt’ seem to work as well as a typical search on the net…
    Any thoughts?

Its usually best to use the “Advanced search” option …. then limit it to a single word relating to what you are looking for …. you can also probably narrow down the search by choosing a specific forum to search within …. for example if you only want info on a cadet … the best thing to do would be to type in “Cadet” in the search field and then select the “Printing Forum” …. this should narrow it down a bit then??

Hope that makes sense … if not click on Advanced Search at the top which is next to the serch box and just have a play.

    😀
