    Hi all.
Customer wants either flat cut stainless or aluminium letters on stand off locators on the top part of his restaurant, the height of the ply you can see is 300mm and would have letters of about 200mm.
he wants a backing made out of dibond or similar to cover up the ugly ply finish the chippy left.
What my concern is at that radius, do you think I will have a problem with attaching the letters to the locators due to the curve in the building pushing them outwards as opposed to a flat surface.
Also would it be feasible to attach the letters to the dibond before fitting?
I havent had one like this before in this shape so any advice is greatly recieved.
    Heres the pics.

I would think it depends on the name and chosen font, it could work round the curve, you would have to trim the plant’s

No major problems with the locators – but you must keep them JUST loose enough to assume the correct position when letters are pushed on.

Don’t totally trust the template either – allow for a bit of float and it should be fine…and do one letter at a time, that way you can make the horizontal + or – adjustments on subsequent letters without the need for more holes!

Dibond will fit that radius no bother. I’d be sorely tempted to pre-curve the sheets/strips in the shop (on-site) to reduce the tension. It bends really easily and holds the shapes pretty well.

I wouldn’t put the letters on the dibond first – simply because of the screws & you’d need to have it pre-curved to get the locator positions just right.

The plants are made from solid steel.

Only joking, we can work around the plants, the font would only be something simple, nothing too elaborate

Thanks for that, I was thinking it wouldnt be a major hassle, but thought I would ask in any case in case anyone had a bad experience with things like this before.

Steve plants are petunias and should be gone soon but the weather we have been having I wouldn’t bank on that , you may have to do the dastardly deed and kill them 😥
